Ages 14 – 19


A personal one-on-one mentorship, as well as group guidance through “workshops”. Workshops include: Applying to and Finding Colleges, Preparing Your Portfolio & The Interview Process, Understanding the Money & Alternative Scholarship Sources, and Increasing the School’s Offer. This course on obtaining scholarships also includes a portfolio review and up to two hours of personal consultation.

Jordan Sanford is The Art Effect’s new Director of Artistic Advancement. He comes to us from a nearly decade long tenure at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) where he was Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission & Coordinator of Baltimore City Diversity Initiatives. While at MICA, he helped lay the groundwork for the success of MICA’s regionally focused diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives. He has advised, guided, and supported countless young people and their families through the art college admission process.
