Description

Senior year is too late. The time to start thinking about college and planning for scholarships is now, so let’s get going! In this class you will explore college research methods; scholarship application planning tools; portfolio preparation techniques; how to build relationships with your college reps, and more. You will also participate in a group critique and experience mock portfolio reviews. This class is specifically for high school juniors and highly-motivated sophomores.

Jordan Sanford is The Art Effect’s new Director of Artistic Advancement. He comes to us from a nearly decade long tenure at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) where he was Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission & Coordinator of Baltimore City Diversity Initiatives. While at MICA, he helped lay the groundwork for the success of MICA’s regionally focused diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives. He has advised, guided, and supported countless young people and their families through the art college admission process.
