The Art Institute of The Art Effect presents the 16th annual national high school photography competition, exposure, open to all high school students sponsored in part by Maryland Institute College of Art.
Entry Deadline: April 5, 2019, 5pm
Notification of acceptance: April 10, 2019
Accepted work due by: April 19, 2019, 5pm
Exhibition dates: April 26 — May 10, 2019
Closing Reception: May 10, 2019, 6:30pm.
Submission procedure for exposure
To enter, register and then upload your work digitally. All work must be completely the work of the applicant. No borrowed work, even in part, will be accepted. All entries must be submitted digitally. You must submit through the online system or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email of your submission.
$15.00 entry fee includes up to 3 entries. 2 additional entries will be accepted for $3.00 each. Artists may submit up to 5 photographs. Entries must be uploaded before April 5, 2019 at 5pm.
A full tuition scholarship to the Summer Art Intensive of The Art Effect, one full tuition scholarship to Maryland Institute College of Art’s Summer 2019 Pre-college program, a number of cash awards and other prizes will be awarded.
This year’s judges are professional artists and photographers: Al Nowak of On Location Photography (onlocationstudios.com), Robert Stevens (robertflaneur.com) and Steven Steele Cawman (sscphoto.com).
Notification of Acceptance
Entrants will be notified via email of acceptance or rejection by April 10, 2019. Please be sure to provide a valid email for notification. Photographs of accepted works may be used for display, publicity and documentation purposes. If selected, instructions for display of artwork will be forwarded to the entrant.
