In Session 1: Frame how you see the world, through the lens of your unique perspective. Develop a clear understanding of camera functionality, principles of composition, and digital editing fundamentals. Also explore photojournalism, staged images, and the many other genres of the discipline.
In Session 2: Like the best photographers, you will “make” photos, not just “take” them. Explore the conceptual and practical principles of digital photography. Weekly lectures will help you add context to your approach. Your goal will be to develop a series of images based on what you find inspiring.

In 2016 he received an Arts Alive Grant to produce a documentary and photography exhibition on wounded soldiers. He also leads photography tours to Ethiopia, Kenya and Niger, which are 12 day excursions that give participants the chance to learn in the field.
