Description

Refine your observation and rendering skills to create a sophisticated fine art portfolio! You will learn a variety of different mediums and hear from working artists who are experts in each field. You will begin by working from observation using the tools of drawing and painting, and then move onto mixed media, sculpture, photography, and experimental works. Your focus will be on using new and familiar tools to produce innovative work that solidifies your personal vision and vice. This class will prepare you for the rigors of Advanced Portfolio Development.

Lauren Hollick is The Art Effect’s Director of Explore Programming. She is an alum of The Art Effect’s Art Institute and a beloved teaching artist in numerous programs at The Art Effect. Lauren has lived in the Hudson Valley her whole life and obtained a Bachelors in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz. Her current mediums of choice for her personal work are ceramics and India Ink.
