Description

A functional understanding of anatomy, gesture, and proportion is the foundation of any figural artwork. This class will help your portfolio stand out by training you in drawing the human figure, with tips and techniques for understanding and representing human anatomy, figure proportions, different poses and basic gestures. Working from a live nude model, you will develop an advanced understanding of how to render the human form convincingly from direct observation. Using a variety of materials and techniques, you will gain confidence in mark-making and grounding your figures in dynamic compositions.

Morgan Suter is a figurative artist who primarily focuses on self portraiture. She studied painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and currently lives and works in upstate New York.    Instagram: _morgansuter  https://www.morgansuter.com/
