This class will be focused on transforming the students’ love of filmmaking into a broader set of skills they can use to express themselves and achieve their creative goals. Students will learn how to use camera angles, camera movement, lighting, sound design and editing to tell their stories.

Sarah Timberlake Taylor has been teaching videography, digital art, animation and experimental film for over six years. A graduate of Bard College where she majored in Film Production, Sarah often works with documentarian Kevin Schreck, assistant editing on his award-winning film Persistence of Vision along with TANGENT REALMS: The worlds of C.M. Kösemen, and his upcoming film ENONGO – The Sammus Documentary. Sarah is currently working on her own short video series, Travel Loops, focused on the cyclical nature of recollections created by departures from our everyday life and routines and an upcoming digital art & performance project focused on the aesthetics, practices, and engagements behind sustainable mindful consumption. She loves to collaborate with other artists and enjoys lending a hand with any stage of production.
