The Art Effect’s Junior Art Institute consists of art classes for arts-interested students ages 11-14.
This innovative program is designed to give junior artists & designers the opportunity to explore digital illustration, digital photography, drawing, painting, animation, and/or mixed media. This program will help define their creative direction in preparation for more advanced visual arts instruction in high school and beyond. We will explore the depth of shape, color, line, texture, space and movement.
The Art Institute (for ages 14-19) is a pre-college portfolio school for artistically motivated and career minded young artists. The Art Effect helps develop their ideas and master skills in the visual and media arts. Students will strengthen their portfolios by exploring advanced art techniques, presentation, critique, composition, emotionalism, and the importance of conceptualism.
Since 2000, our graduates have been offered over $49 million in merit-based scholarships to the nation’s leading colleges, universities, and art schools.
As an educational space providing programming to K-12 youth as well as a public venue, The Art Effect requires all teachers, visitors, and students wear masks and maintain social distancing at all locations.
