Summer Intermediate Arts Program

New this summer!
The Summer Intermediate Arts Program – for ages 11 to 13

Take your love of art to the next level in this brand-new program! This new program for middle school-aged students taught by Lauren Hollick combines the fun and artistic exploration of Dutchess Arts Camp with the skills-building of our traditional Junior Art Institute. Young artists will discover the power of creative self-expression while learning new skills in painting portraits and landscapes, creating 3-D sculptures, and experimenting with mixed media. Projects will be adaptable to the level and interest of each individual student.

This summer, young artists can participate in the Summer Intermediate Arts Program in three ways:
– Download videos to learn and create at home
– Join remotely in a 2-week Summer Intermediate Arts Program virtual session with live lessons and self-guided activities at home
– Attend a 2-week in-person session of the Summer Intermediate Arts Program at the Poughkeepsie Trolley Barn.

All necessary supplies will be included, and all program options will be in compliance with current COVID-19 guidance for in-person gatherings and camps. Class sizes for in-person programs will never be larger than 10 youth.
